My Masters in Education (MEd) Program

In 1978, I was awarded my masters degree in Education (MEd) from the Institute for Open Education, under the degree-granting authority of Antioch University, Yellow Springs, Ohio, U.S.A. The Institute for Open Education was newly founded and had not yet acquired its own facilities. We used the classrooms, halls, and libraries of Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A. Many of our professors were on the teaching staff of Harvard. Since then, the Institute for Open Education has incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under the name of Cambridge University.
My area of concentration was in the acquisition of teaching and management skills for the effective development and implementation of Bilingual, Multicultural, and Occupational Educational programs. Following are the broad areas of study encompassed in my masters degree program:
Teaching Skills: Seminar in Teaching & Learning Strategies, Advanced Issues in Bilingual Career/Occupational Education;
Pedagogical Knowledge: Philosophic Foundations of Education, Issues in Bilingual Education, Theory & Practice of Multicultural Education;
Educational Administration: Theory & Practice of Bilingual Occupational Administration, Organizational Development & Management Techniques, Advanced Educational Administration & Supervision, Theory & Practice of Educational Consulting, Management of Change, Organizational Development and Decision Making, Practicum in Bilingual Occupational Administration.
